Mise à jour/ Update

Bonjour!

J'espère que tout le monde passe une belle fin de semaine. Ce matin j'ai déjeuné avec mon père dans un petit restaurant près de mon chalet.

I hope that everyone is having a nice weekend. This morning my husband and I had breakfast with my dad in a little restaurant close to my cottage.

Nous adorons notre lutin dans notre salle de classe! Les élèves ont voté et il s'appelle Elfis Presley. Il est un lutin malin. Il nous joue des tours. Jeudi, il a effacé nos objectifs et a écrit "manger des bonbons" comme objectif au lieu. Vendredi, il a étudiait pour notre test d'études sociales qui arrive à grands pas. Il avait une boussole et une carte du Canada. Voici des photos:

We love our class elf! The students voted a named him Elfis Presley. He is a sneaky elf and plays tricks on us. On Thursday, he erased all of our learning goals and replaced them with "eat candy" instead. On Friday, he was studying for our upcoming Social Studies test. He had a compass around his neck and had a map of Canada. Here are some pictures:

Pour célébrer l'avent, nous faisons une petite levée de fonds les vendredis avec une journée spéciale. Hier, c'était la journée des chandails fous. Ce vendredi sera la journée des pyjamas. Les élèves sont invités d'apporter soit 1$ ou 2$. L'argent ramassée ira à la mission d'Ottawa. 3$ donne un repas à quelqu'un qui a faim. Les élèves sont aussi invités d'apporter de la nourriture non-périssable que nous allons donner au Stittsville Food Bank.

To celebrate Advent, we are raising money on Fridays with Spirit Days. Yesterday was Tacky Sweater Day. This Friday is Pyjama Day. Students are invited to bring 1$ or 2$ to participate. The funds collected will go to the Ottawa Mission. 3$ gives a meal to someone hungry.  The students are also invited to bring non-perishable food items to the school to go to the Stittsville Food Bank.

Le mardi 8 décembre sera notre levée de fonds McDonalds. Un pourcentage des fonds ira à l'école. Enfin, le jeudi 10 décembre, nous allons avoir notre concert de Noël. Le spectacle commencera à 5h00, et aura lieu dehors. Tout le monde est invité.

On Tuesday, December 8th we will be having a McDonald's fundraiser. A percentage of the funds raised will go to the school. Finally, on Thursday, December 10th we will be having our Christmas Concert. The concert will begin at 5:00 PM and will be taking place outdoors. Everyone is invited.
